"MY" Strategy

First, notice the page is titled "MY" Strategy.......which it means exactly whats read with the emphasis on MY.  We all have our own methods of losing weight.  & we all try different ways until we find a method that works for us and that is what I will be doing.

Anyway.....

I went for my first visit to the Weight Loss Clinic on February 3, 2010 the scale read 283 lbs. I could have cried lol. I thank GOD for my height (5'10) because that definitely helps to camouflage how big I'm really am. The doctor prescribed me Adipex. I started my diet the next day, which is 2/4, but I didn't start exercising until 2/5.

My start off routine exercises will be at a minimum to walk 30 minutes on the treadmill and do 1000 steps on the air climber everyday. My ultimate goal is to lose 118 lbs, which will bring my weight down to 165.  I am shooting to lose at least a minimum of 20 pounds each month. So, hopefully if I go by that, then it should take me about 6 months (JULY) to achieve my goal. But, my main focus will be on getting my weight down to 200 first.

I know everyone will totally disagree with me, but for the first week or two & even hoping I can survive a month, I plan on not eating anything at all....just drink liquids. I think my body needs to get use to not eating food as much. I know about the calories and this that will slow my metabolism down. But after that period passes, I plan on jumping on the diet below:  (***This diet is similar to what cardiologist use in the hospitals. You are suppose to be on this diet for 2 1/2 months, you do 12 days on, 2 days off and you suppose to lose 52 lbs***)

Breakfast:: 
1/2 grapefruit or unsweetened juice
2 eggs any style
2 slices bacon

Lunch:

1/2 grapefruit or unsweetened juice
Salad, any dressing
Meat, any style any amount

Dinner:

1/2 grapefruit or unsweetened juice
Meat any style any amount( fish may b substituted)
Vegatables any green or red( cooked in butter or any seasonings)
Salad as above
1 cup coffee or tea

Bedtime snack: 

glass of tomato juice or skim milk


INSTRUCTIONS:::::
1) AT any time, u may eat till u r full--until u cant eat no more
2)Dont eliminate anything from the diet, especially don't skip bacon at breakfast or omit salads, it is the combination of foods that burn the fat!
3)The grapefruit is important because it acts as a catalyst that starts the burning process!
4)Cut down on coffee, it effects the insulin balance that hinders the burning up process, try to limit one (1) cup at mealtime!
5)Dont eat between meals, if u eat the combination of foods suggested u will not b hungry!
6)NOTE::::: the diet completely eliminates sugar and starches which are lipids and form fat. Fat does not form fat, it helps burn it so u can fry foods in butter and use it generously on veggies!
7)Do not eat desserts, breads, white veggies, or sweet potatoes.you may double or triple helping of meat salad, or veggies! Eat till u r stuffed. The more u eat of the proper combination of foods the more u will lose!
8)You can lose 10 pounds in 12 days, There will b no loss the first four days but u will lose 5 pounds on the 5th day! Thereafter u will lose 1 1/2 Ibs every 2 days till u are where u want to be! All soft drinks need to be diet and caffiene free!


YOU MAY NOT HAVE::::;white onions, potatoes, celery, milk, and cheese

YOU MAY HAVE:::::::;red onions, bell pepper, radishes, cucumbers, broccoli, green onions, lettuce, cabbage, carrots, tomatoes! 




I think this diet works as I have heard alot of people talking about this diet. But, my main problem will be drinking the tomato juice or the skim milk because I do not like either one of them.

Another problem that I have is drinking water. Yes, I hate water. I have to force myself to drink it. I use to drink cold drinks alot, but I no longer drink them anymore, so thats a good start. I only drink the Minute Maid orange juice or fruit punch. But, I am working on the water problem because my body definitely needs it.

Anyway, I will personally weigh myself every Thursday but my first scheduled weigh in at the clinic is on March 3 @ 2pm. Wish me Luck!!
